Many of the features are based on the old desktop app, and have improved to be suitable to Marpit. Marp Core provides the practical syntax, additional features, and built-in themes. Marpit only has bare essential features, so it might have not enough to start writing your deck. In short, it is a battery-included Marpit. Marp Core is a base converter for our projects extended from Marpit. Marp Core is based on inline SVG slide by default. Thanks to the power of SVG, we can keep a framework simple and maintainable. Isolates Markdown contents and prevents that injected DOM by Marpit's advanced feature breaks design defined in theme CSS.Supports pixel-perfect scaling via style definition and realizes Zero-JS slide deck.It might feel a bit strange, but makes many advantages. Our unique idea is wrapping each slides by inline SVG. Theme creator never needs to worry about the responsive layout, and could provide design exactly as the author wanted with less effort. In addition, Marpit has the pixel-perfect slide system like PowerPoint and Keynote. It means that you can create theme CSS from now! Marpit's it only requires a pure CSS, and no additional knowledges! You have only to focus styling HTML semantic elements. So we had to create a brand-new theming system for easy customization of theme with only general CSS knowledge. The old Marp had the limited theming system and required deep diving to internal for customization: Build system, Sass, the logic of Marp app, and so on. Marpit has the theming system to allow designing everything of slides by CSS. Theme CSS: Design your deck with clean markup And you can even extend the additional syntax via markdown-it plugins if you need. Thus, the result of rendering keeps looking nice even if you open the Marpit Markdown in a general Markdown editor. We have to deal with these contradicted issues.Īdditional syntax provided by Marpit should never break CommonMark document. On the other hand, we also have received a request that must respect Markdown syntax strictly. We had received many requests to the old Marp, about the additional syntax to help creating beautiful slide deck. Marpit Markdown: Keep compatibillity with a plain Markdown document You may integrate Marpit's Markdown conversion with your tool, even if it's not Marp: reveal.js, WebSlides, and so on. Marpit has created for using as the base of Marp ecosystem, but it is also independent framework. It is designed to convert Markdown into only minimum assets consisted of static HTML and CSS, and the output can convert into PDF slide deck by printing through Chrome / Chromium. Marpit is the skinny framework for creating HTML slide deck from Markdown. Tools by Marp ecosystem are usually based on these. Marp Next has two core components: Marpit framework and Marp Core. They are developed with JavaScript and TypeScript, and much more maintainable than the previous Marp. To be usable in various situations, we build a brand-new Marp ecosystem consisted of multiple modules. Today, I'm so excited to introduce the story of Marp Next! The full-rewritten Marp is not only just a writer. We had received so many requests to the old Marp app, and it has to evolve to keep providing the best writing environment of presentation deck. However, our headache brought from lacked maintainability to develop. Marp is amassed around 8,000 stars until now. And now, Marp has been used by a lot of users who would recognize the real value of the presentation writer. At first, it was started from a simple tool for personal usage called "mdSlide". The first version of Marp was released at almost 3 years ago.

However there’s one more step to get the full retro sound and that is to load the original factory presets. The Dexed plugin loaded fine and I soon had a virtual DX7 running. By default the Wine home directory is under “.wine” in your home directory and I copied the 32 bit VST dll ( called Dexed.dll ) from there into the area where I normally store the VSTs and started LMMS. The normal Windows installer dialogs were shown and both a standalone and 64/32 bit VST plugins were installed. exe file and I ran that using a simple Wine command: wine dexed-0.9.4hf1-win.exe There is another LMMS wiki page listing Tested VSTs but I found that not all of the supposedly tested ones worked on my Wine installation. Note that the GUI that I saw was different from that on the wiki page ( left ) but it works fine. Again I had no problems and the Wine initialisation automatically download the Gecko libraries so as to display the VST and I soon had the synth up and running. The wiki page very sensibly recommends that you start with a known working VST so I downloaded the recommended instrument and followed the instructions. Back to the VST … VST plugins on LMMS – part 2 To my slight surprise it worked absolutely perfectly with no problems and I soon had Wine installed. The one for Ubuntu looked straightforward enough with just a few commands to be run. However this was a few years ago and the Wine website now has a dedicated page for some distributions. In the past I’ve found that installing Wine was a bit hit or miss and, to be honest, I never got it to do anything useful other than run Notepad or Minesweeper. The other key bit of information is that you need 32 bit VSTs and not the 64 bit versions. Hmm, OK, I’ve not really played much with Wine and I’ve heard mixed reviews about it but I’m willing to give it a go. Linux LMMS installations require Wine installed before these plugins can be used.” The not so good news is that “ … Because most VSTs are written to be Windows compatible, VSTs tend to work better on Windows LMMS installations. The Dexed GitHub releases page has a number of pre-built plugins so I had a quick check in the LMMS manual as to what to do next … VST plugins on LMMS – part 1įortunately there’s a useful page on the LMMS wiki about plugins. I wanted to use Dexed as part of my LMMS setup and the usual way of doing this is by using a VST plugin. One of my usual YouTube haunts – Woody’s Piano Shack – has a comparison of dexed against a real DX-7: There’s very little for the D-50 but the original ROMs for the DX7 are readily available online and the Dexed soft synth gets some good reviews. Neither of us had the budget, space and, more importantly in my case, the talent for one of these beasts so I started to have a look for some emulators. Recently I’ve had lengthy discussions with a friend about how good 80s era synths like the Roland D-50 and the Yamaha DX7 sounded. Because it’s optional and subtle (it looks just like the plural indicative forms of most verbs), it’s no surprise it’s disappearing. It can be used in counterfactual situations, but it generally isn’t required. That’s because the English subjunctive is pretty weak. Often you’ll see people using the regular present tense in these situations, writing in (1) “if Alicia was the President”. And in the subjunctive mood, the present tense of the verb to be is were, regardless of the subject. But because we’re talking about a counterfactual situation (Alicia is not really the president), we can use the subjunctive mood instead. Normally, you’d say “Alicia was” “Alicia were” would be a misconjugation. (1) If Alicia were the President, she’d get Party Down back on the air. The basic idea of the subjunctive mood is that it expresses something counter to reality. It’s prominent in Romance languages (if you’ve taken French or Spanish, you’ve surely encountered it), and it exists to various extents in other Indo-European languages as well, including English. The subjunctive, if you’re not familiar with it, is a verbal mood* that appears in a variety of languages. This unconcern is, perhaps, a minority view amongst men of letters, for whom saying if I were instead of if I was is often a marker of a proper education, but I’m comforted by the fact that it is the majority view amongst users of English. The English subjunctive may well be dying, but I am shedding no tears for it. That’s a sweet throw after a really rough outing so far. The 24-yard pickup put the 49ers at the Vikings’ 6. There’s a seed from Garoppolo to Brandon Aiyuk on a third-and-11. – First-and-20 throw to Elijah Mitchell and Garoppolo flat out airmailed him. It’s imperative for the 49ers’ defense that they keep the Vikings in second or third and long. – Nick Bosa got his 11th sack on a first down to put Minnesota behind the sticks. He’s missed several so far, including that out to Kittle. He can’t step up and consistently make throws. – Third-and-2, Garoppolo’s throw for TE George Kittle got knocked down. It’s 14-7 and the 49ers have no answers for the Vikings receivers. It looked like rookie safety Talanoa Hufanga forgot his assignment and Cousins found his receiver for a go-ahead touchdown. – A third-and-3 for the Vikings, Josh Norman got flambéed by Justin Jefferson for a 30-yard gain. (Photo by Lachlan Cunningham/Getty Images) Probably smart by him not to try and force a throw there. He was retreating almost immediately after the snap. He flew in from the back side on a shotgun run and dragged RB Dalvin Cook down for a loss to force a punt after the 49ers’ game-tying score. – What a play by Charles Omenihu on a third-and-2. was on the field and had an excellent downfield block to spring Samuel. He went sweep off the right side and got some terrific blocking to turn the corner for a 20-yard touchdown. Aiyuk found a soft spot in the Vikings’ zone and went for 37 yards. They need to find a way to run the ball without the Samuel stuff. – First Deebo Samuel carries goes for minus-four yards to bring up a second-and-14. This could be a tough day for the 49ers defense if they’re going to keep letting receivers run free. Two coverage breakdowns by the 49ers helped Minnesota on that series. Thielen again got wide open in the back of the end zone. – Touchdown Vikings on a fourth-and-goal from the 2. It looked like maybe Josh Norman got crossed up in coverage and left Adam Thielen to run to the middle of the field. – The 49ers bit on a flea flicker and got beat for 29 yards. They want nothing to do with the 49ers’ pass rush. – Two quick throws from Minnesota after the interception. An incompletion, a false start, and a short run got the 49ers in a bad spot and Garoppolo couldn’t bail them out. That’s a peril of getting into third-and-long. – Interception from Garoppolo when he tried to force one into Deebo Samuel on a third-and-12. Unbelievable throw from Garoppolo into a tight window. – First third-down conversion try was successful when Jimmy Garoppolo hit WR Jauan Jennings for 21 yards. It looked like a miscommunication between QB Kirk Cousins and his receiver, but Emmanuel Moseley and Jimmie Ward were both there in coverage. – Three-and-out for the Vikings on their first drive. Azeez Al-Shaair is still the Will linebacker with Dre Greenlaw active. – The 49ers defense is on the field first. These types are converted to string format without any loss of precision: - Concatenating string with a decimal SELECT 'Hire Date: ' || hire_date AS hire_info FROM employees ĭecimal and numeric types are also often concatenated with strings for reporting or creating readable outputs. When a date or time type is concatenated with a string, it’s converted to a string representation in a default format: - Concatenating string with a date SELECT 'Age: ' || age AS age_info FROM employees Ĭoncatenating date and time types with strings is common for formatting purposes. This means SQL automatically converts the non-string data type to a string, so that the concatenation can be performed: - Concatenating string with an integer In SQL, when you concatenate strings with non-string data types, an Implicit Type Conversion takes place. This section illustrates various ways of using SQL concatenation through different syntaxes and functions, allowing developers to adapt according to their database’s specificities and requirements. SELECT GROUP_CONCAT(first_name ORDER BY first_name ASC SEPARATOR ', ') AS employee_names FROM employees GROUP BY department_id SELECT STRING_AGG(first_name, ', ') AS employee_names FROM employees GROUP BY department_id These functions concatenate values from multiple rows into a single string: - SQL Server STRING_AGG() In some SQL databases, you can use functions like STRING_AGG() in SQL Server or GROUP_CONCAT() in MySQL for String Aggregation. SELECT first_name || ' is ' || age || ' years old.' AS employee_info FROM employees This is especially useful when you want to format the output string: - Concatenating with literals Literals, such as characters or numbers, can also be concatenated with columns. SELECT first_name || middle_name || last_name AS full_name FROM employees The following example demonstrates concatenating three strings: - Concatenating multiple strings You are not limited to concatenating only two strings multiple strings can be concatenated in a single query. SELECT CONCAT(first_name, ' ', last_name) AS full_name FROM employees This function can Concatenate Two or More Strings, and its usage is equally straightforward: - Using CONCAT() function Some SQL databases, like MySQL, offer the CONCAT() function as an alternative to the || operator. SELECT first_name || ' ' || last_name AS full_name FROM employees The usage is straightforward, as demonstrated below: - Standard concatenation using || This operator is used to Combine strings from different columns or strings and literals. The standard SQL concatenation operator is ||. This section provides a foundational understanding of SQL Concatenation, offering insights into its basic syntax, characteristics, and some practical considerations. SELECT COALESCE(column1, 'Default') || ' ' || column2 AS concatenated_column FROM table_name However, you can handle this by using the COALESCE or NVL function to replace NULL with a default value: - Handling NULL values SELECT 'Total Orders: ' || order_count AS order_info FROM orders_table Īs mentioned, concatenating a NULL value results in NULL. For instance: - Concatenating string with an integer When doing so, SQL automatically converts the non-string data type to a string format. While the primary use of concatenation is with string data, it’s also possible to concatenate different data types, such as integers or dates, to strings. Another key point is that you can concatenate not only strings but also other data types, which will be implicitly converted to strings. Thus, if you concatenate a NULL value with a string, the result will be NULL unless handled explicitly. When concatenating, it's essential to be aware that SQL treats NULL as an unknown. SELECT CONCAT(column1, ' ', column2) AS concatenated_column FROM table_name SELECT column1 || ' ' || column2 AS concatenated_column FROM table_name Here are examples in both styles: - Using double pipe In most SQL databases, the || (double pipe) operator is used, while some databases like MySQL use the CONCAT() function. The basic syntax of SQL Concatenation varies slightly depending on the SQL database. This method is particularly useful when there is a need to merge data from various fields for reporting, data transformation, or creating more readable outputs. Connect the USB drive to your computer and get access to the recovery drive. The answer is no, because the Recovery Drive will create a FAT32 formatted USB that can boot in both BIOS-based and UEFI-based PCs.Īs for the USB capacity issue, since the process will copy a lot of files to it, you need to prepare a flash drive that has at least 16 GB capacity, and ensure it’s empty, because all the data on the USB drive will be deleted. Kerbal Space Program 2 really sells an atmosphere and mood of unlimited discovery and achievement. Still, for all its technical trouble, it's an incredibly impressive near-scale simulation of our own solar system. Whenever these issues pop up, my flight path is typically altered (and in some cases prematurely ended), as I have no real course of action aside from waiting for the strained game engine to catch up. I've had random stuttering fits that throw the whole physics engine into disarray, FPS drops to single digits, and I've been hard-locked out of clicking any UI options. What hasn't disappeared in my time with the game are the frequent bugs. KSP veterans will doubtlessly be familiar with the performance issues that come with realistically simulating 3,000 tons of atmosphere-breaking space flight but once your bootleg Soyuz gets into orbit, those performance issues quickly disappear, at least from my early playtime. Whenever I spent any significant amount of time retooling my craft in the Vehicle Assembling Building, I'd typically sit back and watch the whole countdown, anxiously awaiting the moment of lift-off. New to Kerbal Space Program 2 is a countdown launch, where a Kerbal announcer will count down to zero in gibberish numbers, backed by some whimsical bohemian strings and horns. The sputtery belching of the boosters gives way to this cacophonous, desk-rattling roar. When things go according to plan launches are breathtaking, hiccups and all. I was disappointed to see a lack of HOTAS support in the input menu, as the twist of a stick and ease of use of a throttle would immediately alleviate any of the minor control issues I had. The latter makes braking way more easy for a fat-fingered slob like me.In-atmosphere plane and rocket flights currently feel awkward when using the mouse and keyboard, as the rocket's orientation will always level out based on the craft's center of thrust and mass, respectively. That allows me to adjust the pitch for high thrust at low speeds or increase the maximum speed at which the props generate thrust, and at it allows me to nearly direct control over the airspeed at low speeds by lowering the prop pitch (down to 0 for braking on the runway, or a quick increase for a go-around). Then when flying I set the torque limit to the limit of my power consumption (usually just max), and do the actual thrust control with the propeller pitch. I keep the max RPM to max, bind the torque limit to one axis group, and bind the propeller pitch to another axis group. I usually use a small fairing to put two (electrical) engines on the same axis, but a classic twin-engine design also works well.įor my prop-planes I don't use the main throttle at all. The usual solution is to have two counter-rotating propellers. That is a known problem, and I think this issue is worse in game than in real life. The plane keeps trying to spin/roll due to the single engine. TBH it's going to be a headache figuring some of this out without some help/comparison from the PC community. There's a lot of new settings/options for action groups and the Kal 1000 etc, that are not explained at all. If so then it could be really helpful for us console players to have one of you folks do a comparison of sorts, as in how well some of the controls/methods to control robotics and planes etc have been implemented on console.(I have a feeling some things have probably been overlooked in this regard) Are there any PC players who happen to also own the console version?(highly unlikely I know) It's going to take a while to get my head around all the new robotic parts and how to use them with a controller.Īlso, just out of curiosity. įor the moment I just want to figure out how to make the Kal sequence work In reverse also. The plane keeps trying to spin/roll due to the single engine.however I'll figure out how to sort that later. I've seen advice on another forum ,to use the Kal 1000 to bind RPM and Torque limits to the main throttle, this seems to be working, kind of as intended. I'm having difficulty with throttle controls. I've put together a basic biplane using the R121 turboshaft. So I've just downloaded the Breaking ground dlc on xbox. RouterOS is the operating system used by MikroTik. They design and market hardware and software for computer networks, including routers, switches, access points, utility software, and operating systems. MikroTik is a hardware and network equipment manufacturer in Latvia that is the main provider of Internet access infrastructure (hardware and software) in most countries. Stay with us until the end of the article. In this article, we will introduce you to Port Forwarding in Mikrotik and teach you how to configure port forwarding in the Mikrotik router step.īefore starting the port forwarding configuration process in Mikrotik, we will briefly introduce the Mikrotik operating system and a definition of Port forwarding. Configuring Mikrotik port forwarding is very simple. If you have servers and applications on a private network that you need to access over the Internet and public networks, the best way to log into MikroTik RouterOS is through Winbox. Using MikroTik port forwarding, you can easily connect from outside your private/local zone (from the internet/public) to a server in your private/local zone, such as web server, game server, FTP server, and NVR and DVR. In other words, Port Forwarding is the most secure way to connect to your servers from outside your local network without risking network security. Port Forwarding or Port Mapping is a NAT program used in MikroTik to redirect traffic from an IP address and port number on a remote network to an IP address and port number on a local network. This software is capable of turning it into dedicated routers by running on a normal and personal computer. MikroTik RouterOS is more than a simple router operating system and has many functions and applications. MikroTik RouterOS is a powerful Linux-independent operating system designed to interact with MikroTik network equipment. |
